Our recent collaboration with Awlgrip to promote their latest innovation, Awlcraft 3000, was no exception. Awlcraft 3000, a next-generation high gloss premium acrylic urethane topcoat, is setting new standards in yacht coatings with its enhanced color technology and proven versatility.
The Challenge: Capturing Innovation and Quality in One Minute
The goal was to create a short, dynamic, and visually appealing video that encapsulates the essence of Awlcraft 3000. Our brief was clear: the video needed to be fast-paced, colorful, and stylish, aligning with the premium feel of the product. Given that the yacht coatings market is both competitive and high-end, it was crucial that our video not only conveyed the technical advantages of Awlcraft 3000 but also resonated with the aesthetic expectations of our audience.
Highlighting Awlcraft 3000’s Unique Selling Points
Awlcraft 3000 builds upon the trusted qualities of its predecessor, Awlcraft 2000, but with significant advancements. The product utilizes the advanced AkzoNobel color platform—also used in Awlgrip HDT—offering truer, deeper, and more vibrant colors. Key features that we needed to showcase included:

Creative Concept: A Symphony of Color and Motion
Drawing inspiration from the original Awlgrip advertisements, we envisioned a scene where paint explodes from the can in super slow motion, creating a mesmerizing visual of color and motion. This concept was designed to symbolize the cutting-edge color technology and the vibrant finish that Awlcraft 3000 offers.
To achieve this, we created a 3D model of the paint can and animated it using Adobe After Effects. We utilized advanced camera and lighting techniques to add a touch of realism, ensuring the paint and can interacted convincingly within the digital environment. The slow-motion paint effects were meticulously crafted, layering splatters over the 3D footage to create an immersive and captivating visual experience.
Collaboration and Execution
Working closely with the Awlgrip team was instrumental in guiding the project to completion. Their insights and feedback were invaluable, helping us to align our creative vision with the brand’s expectations. The final result is a testament to the synergy between our creative team and Awlgrip’s technical expertise.
