Wax Digital's Ingenious Creation: The Made Alive Card Game Design
In the bustling world of role-play games, Wax Digital has made something beautifully simple with their innovative card game design, Made Alive. This article delves into the intricate process behind the design of this captivating game, shedding light on the creativity and strategic thinking that brought it to life.

Made Alive is not just a card game; it’s a Bible tool created to bring the Bible to life. The game encourages players to explore what they can learn about God through various Bible passages and how they can turn these lessons into action in their lives. It provides a platform for asking questions, sharing ideas, and personalizing one’s faith journey. Accompanied by a journal, Made Alive helps players track their ideas and progress through the Bible, starting with six curated Bible journeys. Wax Digital was approached by Alive Church to redesign a successful game they used weekly within their youth groups. The original game format was effective, but Alive Church wanted to share it more broadly across the Church of England. The brief was clear: create a game that appeals to teenagers, is simple to follow, and comes in a compact package.
